Uses solar energy to recharge the battery, however these lamps are also manually rechargeable via an included magnetic charging device that can be inserted into a USB power block - for first time use it is recommended to manually charge via wall outlet, then provided ample sunshine during the day will recharge the battery to shine bright at night and cycle for days, weeks or months without a manual charge - depending on use, position in the sun and size of the light. There are two buttons that cycle through the options:

• Left button cycles through on, off, and on only when it is dark
• Right button cycles through three levels of brightness intensity.
